Your Child’s Life Story (4-11 years old): Creative ways to help you and your child to talk about their Life Story - via Zoom

Price: £72.60

Date: January 27, 2021

Addressing a child's Life Story is essential for children whose young lives included separations from birth parents, new parents/carers, different 'homes', as well some other adverse or even traumatic early life events. Processing these experiences helps a child to develop a coherent and accurate story of their lives, and the lives of people closest to them; this in turn is key for their understanding and acceptance of who they are, as well as moving forward from their past experiences.

Price: £139.20

Child-to-Parent Violence is now recognised as a real risk factor in foster families, adoptive families and other permanent placements. NVR is a parenting approached based on the political position of great figures who took it upon themselves to bring about much needed change, without getting caught up in the conflict, nor allowing themselves to be dis-empowered.

Please note: this is a half day course taking place on 28 January 2021 from 10.00am to 1.00pm

Your Adolescent's Life Story: Creative ways to help you and your 12-16 year old to talk about their Life Story - via Zoom

Price: £72.60

Date: February 10, 2021

Addressing a young person's Life Story is essential for young people whose early lives included separation from birth parents, new parents/carers, different 'homes', as well some other adverse or even traumatic early life events. Processing these experiences starts to become more mature, more questioning and potentially more solitary when your child enters adolescence. Continuing to integrate what happened in the past, together with wondering about the future, incl. the possibility of making contact with birth relatives, is however an important part of developing a confident sense of identity.
