Adding a sibling to an adoptive family - London

Description:

This half-day training day is for professionals who are considering placing a child into families that already has one, or more, adopted children.

The training will help you to think about the challenges involved in adding a sibling to an adoptive family, and how these challenges can translate into your assessment and post-placement support of second time adopters and their children.

Social workers and other professionals working in adoption and permanency.
Adoptive parents and other permanent carers.

Trainer

Franca Brenninkmeyer is Head of Child & Family Service (London). Franca has over 20 years of professional adoption experience and has worked at PAC-UK since 1996. She has Master degrees in Pedagogical Sciences and Counselling Psychology from Belgium and the UK and is registered as a graduate member with the BPS. Franca was instrumental in developing PAC-UK’s assessments and intensive therapeutic interventions for adoptive families. She regularly presents/leads training days on adoption, trauma and attachment related topics.

The completion of this booking form for a training place is an agreement with PAC-UK and the following cancellation terms apply: Cancellation more than 6 weeks prior to date of training – 25% charge of course fee; Cancellation between 6 weeks and 4 weeks prior to date of training – 50% charge of course fee; Cancellation within 4 weeks of date of training – 100% charge of course fee; Moved to another date – 20% of course fee (admin fee). PAC-UK reserve the right to cancel the training and a full refund of the course fee will be given.
