What is the impact of shame? How do we connect with children and adults and consider our own response to shame as a professional.  Kim Webb, experienced therapeutic social worker, has developed this NEW workshop,  which will provide space to reflect on these issues and discuss techniques to maintain and repair connections with clients when shame is present.

Kim will draw on the work of Dan Hughes, Brene Brown and others to provide a space to reflect on the impact of shame on our clients and our own practice and how to connect with rather than ignore shame.

Kim Webb is a therapeutic social worker who has worked in the field of adoption and permanency for the last 20 years. Kim is a practitioner who is trained in DDP, EMDR, Theraplay and Story Stem assessments. When not thinking about shame Kim’s current exploration is into the world of Mindfulness and she is completing a course on the practice of Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction.
